The Lu Series

The Lu Series preserves childhood as presence rather than nostalgia.

These works hold ordinary moments — rain, movement, animals, play, and the private world of a child — with the same seriousness usually reserved for sacred subjects. The series is about memory while it is still alive: the small gestures, weather, pets, and backyard scenes that become permanent before anyone realizes they are passing.

In these works, childhood is not made sentimental. It is given weight. The ordinary becomes worthy of witness.
