Private Commissions

What kind of commissions ?

Taylor Lowe accepts a limited number of private commissions each year. Commissioned works are created for collectors, families, institutions, and individuals seeking a meaningful original work built around memory, story, devotion, or legacy.

Commissions may include heirloom portraits, family works, pet portraits, sacred narrative pieces, memorial works, and custom symbolic compositions.

Each commission begins with a conversation about subject, story, scale, reference images, medium, and intended placement.

  • Charcoal and oil portraits created from personal reference images and composed as lasting family works. These pieces are designed to carry more than likeness — they preserve presence, memory, and emotional truth.

  • Multi-subject compositions created for families, children, couples, and generational stories. These works are composed with attention to hierarchy, gesture, light, and symbolic meaning.

  • Original works honoring animals with personality, dignity, and presence. These are not casual pet sketches. They are fine-art portraits of companions, creatures, and guardians.

  • Custom works inspired by biblical narratives, spiritual themes, personal testimony, or moments of transformation. These pieces are developed as serious compositions, with attention to anatomy, atmosphere, and emotional gravity.
